The LTS Pre-programme Assessments
To ensure a correct starting point, Children at Key stages 1/2 undergo an educational assessment lasting one and a half hours, which includes a four page summarised report, along with a consultation with the parent. If tuition is then booked,we deduct the fee for the assessment from the tuition course fee. Only when the assessment is completed will your child begin a course of tuition.
Types of Assessment
The educational attainment assessment: The educational diagnostic assessment for students with low reading and spelling ages usually takes around 100 minutes.
Key stages 3 GCSE and A level: Key stages 3 GCSE and A level are given subject assessments, together where applicable cognitive and/or literacy/numeracy screen.
Specific assessments (all ages) for DYSLEXIA, VISUAL DYSLEXIA, and DYSPRAXIA (details on Dyslexia)
Programmes
Pre school ‘coggies’ for years 3-5.We offer a structured yet fun party package of craft music and movement activities at your home. Maximum of 6.
At Key stages 1,2,3 The LTS mathfix and wordfix for English programmes.
LTS specific learning difficulties (Dyslexia, Dyspraxia) remediation programmes for literacy/numeracy
- Based on each assessment a programme following the National Curriculum is individually created.
- Targets are set for one term.
- Built in assessments and continuous monitoring allow progress from day one.
The 11Plus coaching and mentoring programme:
Grammar schools are currently oversubscribed and preparation for this important school career change should begin at years 4/5

How many sessions will my child need?
The learning process is not automatic and varies from child to child. On average our students attend between one and two years. To ensure a measureable result your child will need a minimum of (approx 15-20 sessions).
How is my child’s progress monitored?
Our Systems incorporate and weekly progress check and as learning is not set in stone we update you every few weeks or on request.
Do I have to purchase any materials?
No, everything is included in your weekly fee, unless you require set materials to use at home.
How can I pay?
You can pay be cheque, cash or PayPal for one term or via a monthly standing order. Fees are not refunded for missed sessions-a credit lesson note can be issued or a home assignment given for that lesson.
What if I wish to cancel the tuition?
Cancellation requires one month’s written notice or lessons taken in lieu of notice.
